Information about courses for children

» How and where can I enrol?
Please, enrol your children on 3rd February 2004 from 4.00 p.m. until 4.45 p.m. in the foyer of Schwimmhalle Fischerinsel.

» When do the courses take place?
It immediately starts on 3rd February 2004. The courses are held on Tuesdays at:
- 4.00-4.45 p.m.
- 5.00-5.45 p.m.
- 5.45-6.30 p.m.

» How long is a course?
The course will be from February to about the end of April 2004.

» May I come into the swimming pool as a companion?
Yes. According to the pool's regulations in the swimming pool bathing or sports clothes have to be worn. For each companion a charge of 2,50 Euro per month is made for the entrance into the swimming pool.

» What does a course cost?
The course is about 10 Euro per month. How wants to see his children has to pay a swimming pool entrance charge of 2,50 Euro per companion and month (Bathing or sports clothes required!).

» Who teaches the children?
The children will be teached by Mrs. Dr. Böttcher and Mrs. Dr. Behm.

» Rigth here are some tips from both:
Your children will be trained of well experienced teachers from the Humboldt-University, who work on a voluntary basis in our swimming club. They will be trained in breast- and backstroke - without additional lift support on the body - applying modern methods.

It is our objective that children move safe in and under water without fear and inhibition and reach the qualification "Seepferdchen" (Seahorse) where they swim 25m in deep water as well as pull up an object by hand in shoulder-deep water. Please notice always, that chidren in pre-school- and early school-age are developped very differently and therefore have a different development of their performance. Hence:

• In spite of group training every child is loaded differently.
• A child will never be forced to demands.
• We give prominence to the pleasure in learning and praise for every little success.

The course time will be 30 minutes, after that the children are able to play 15 minutes in the low water pool. All available equipment may be used.
For the changing room a deposit of 1 Euro is necessary. So don't spend the last Euro for shopping :-;.

According to the pool's regulations the children have to wear bathing clothes. For a faster knowing of each other it would be quite nice if the name would be written on front side of the bathing cap.

Please enrol yourself on 3rd February 2004 from 4.00 p.m. until 6.30 p.m. in the foyer of the Schwimmhalle Fischerinsel.

» When do the courses take place?
It immediately starts on 3rd February 2004. The courses are held weekly on Tuesdays starting at 6.30 p.m.

» How long is a course?
The course will be three months.

» What does a course cost?
The courses fee will be 60 Euro.
